【デザイナー】
デザイナーのリュシーが暮らすのは、南フランスのリヨンからほど近い「ユニウー地区」の郊外、ロアール川渓谷沿いにある、石造りの古い建物が多く点在する静かな町です。渓谷でハイキングしたり、ウォータースキーやボートなどが楽しめる観光地でもあります。
本職が「ファブリックデザイナー」（カーテンなどのテキスタイル模様をデザインする仕事）なので、単なるアニマルグッズではなく、しっかりとファッションアイテムになるデザイン性の高さが魅力です。

【日本製への転換】
元々は、「Laissez Lucie Faire…（レッセ・リュシー・フェール）」というブランド名で、フランスで製品になったものを、エムアイシーが日本総代理店として輸入していました。人気の高まりにフランスでの生産能力が追いつかず品切ればかりの状態が続き、2020年末から新たにデザイナーのフルネームを冠した「LUCIE DANCETTE（リュシー・ダンセット）」というブランド名で「デザインド・イン・フランス、メイド・イン・ジャパン」の形に切り替わりました。
現在では、プリント、縫製、企画などが日本製に切り替わりました。
生地自体も日本製にこだわり、サコッシュのストラップには石川県加賀で作られている日本古来の組みひもが使われています。
日本製になったことで、商品ラインアップもより魅力的になっています。トートバッグの内ポケットの中に隠しデザインを忍ばせたり、水筒や折り畳み傘を留めるバンドを付けたりと、デザインにも細かなこだわりがちりばめられています。
【 The born of “LUCIE DANCETTE” made in Japan 】
Our company, M.I.C., originally started to deal with “Laissez Lucie Faire…” made in France as the sole distributor in Japan. In the end of 2020, Lucie and we made a new line made in Japan, under the new brand name “LUCIE DANCETTE”.
All processes including printing, sewing, of most of items are made in Japan. (There are some exceptional items which are planned by Japanese enterprises and made in other countries)
The switching to Japanese production could make lots of commitment to our craftsmanship possible. For instance, commitment to materials; We use SDGs fabric for bags and pouches. We also use a Japanese traditional material like “Kumi-himo” for The straps of musette bags. And commitment to detailed designs; For example bags with elaborate designs on the handles and hidden designs in the pockets, etc.
【SDGs】
バッグに使われている厚手のポリエステル帆布は、コットンに近いようなざっくりとしたぜいたくな風合い。この生地は、1948年創立の国産高級帆布生地ブランド「富士金梅」が、回収したＰＥＴボトルを再生してつくり出した、日本製の帆布を使用しています。

※生地1m当たり500mlのPETボトル約15本分（※）を使用。※500ml=26gとして重量換算した本数
ポーチに使われているポリエステル生地も、再生PETボトルからつくり出された生地に移行しています。
ペーパーリングノートには、表紙、ページ、リング、すべてに森林の保全と持続可能な管理が認められた「FSC森林認証紙」を使用しています。
【SDGs】
Polyester canvas fabric for the bags is sumptuously thick, authentic feeling. The fabric is made of recycled PET bottles, produced by “Fuji Kinbai” which is the brand of Japanese high-end canbas fabric, established in 1948.
The fabric for pouches has more smooth feeling like silk, which fabric is also made of recycled PET bottles.
All materials of the paper ring notebook are “FSC certified paper” which ensures that products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits.
